2009 - THE YEAR TO BOWL
State reps and Army bowlers
Remember the Army Bowling Association has funds to pay for your trials so if you are going to try out for a state ensure you get hold of Steve Ritchie and get all the details for funding. Basically you need an invoice and fax it to Steve the Sports council will only pay invoices received so you need to make arrangements with the state rep and the bowl where trials are being conducted. If you need more information contact Steve or B2.
State reps, Steve and B2 would ask if you could keep the Army bowlers in mind when planning your trials. Questions can be directed to them in regards to available funding for Army bowlers who attend.
State Trials
With the ADTBA Nationals approaching in June, each state is in preparation to conduct local, service and state trials. If anyone is interested please contact you State /Service Representatives for all the details regarding trails in your local and state area. There are compulsory costs associated with trials and selection for each state team. This years Nationals are being conducted in Melbourne and with the current constraints with unit funding get in early with your bosses to see what the system will pay for and what short falls exist as you will be required to pick up the tab if you want to participate in the week long activity.
